MS. Star

Ms. Star has been working with M&M since 2019. She received her undergraduate degree from Oakland University and her MSW from Wayne State University. She has been working with children and their families for 16 years in various case manager and social work positions. After being in the clinician assigned to various schools in Detroit she decided to dedicate her time and efforts as a Special Education School Social Worker to help students who learn differently. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two daughters Laila & Kaila. They enjoy going to the movies and swimming any chance they get. Her guilty pleasure is watching reality TV shows and videos from TikTok. Her favorite childhood books were anything by the Berenstain Bears.

KinderGarten ENRICHMENT SPECIALIST 

Ms. Kaila

Ms. Kaila has been working with children in M&M for almost a year. In her spare time she enjoys movies, sports, and shopping.  Her guilty pleasure is rewatching The Vampire Diaries. Her favorite book from childhood is Tuck Everlasting. 

1st Grade ENRICHMENT SPECIALIST

Ms. Laila

Ms. Laila is currently a senior in high school, getting ready to go to college after graduation. She is interested in becoming a pastry chef someday. She also has been playing softball for four years. Since she's been at M&M, she has made so many bonds with the students.  She loves and cares for them as if they were all her little siblings. She loves working with children.  For fun she loves to draw and bake. Her guilty pleasure are chocolate covered strawberries.  Her favorite movies are Princess and the Frog and Coraline. Her favorite childhood book was Goodnight Moon.

2nd Grade ENRICHMENT SPECIALIST 

Ms. Jayla

Ms. Jayla has worked with children for seven years and would like to become a teacher someday. She is currently attending Oakland Community College. She is working on her associate's degree with a major in education and a minor in entrepreneurship. She is also interested in cooking, music, and traveling.  Ms. Jayla also enjoys art, whether it's physical or digital. For fun she likes to dance, paint, travel, and try new foods. Her favorite TV show is Grey's Anatomy. She looks forward to working with M&M and making an impact on our youth.

Mrs. Cobb

Mrs. Cobb's name is Kenyatta but her family calls her Yatta for short. She's a child at heart! Mrs. Cobb is a grandmother of two beautiful girls and a newlywed. She loves to color in adult coloring books, enjoys enhancing the beauty of any and everything (adding beading and stones to mugs, shoes, shirts). She loves to travel! She's been in the Education field for 25 years. She loves working with children because they have  potential and interest, and sometimes it takes a special person to help them unleash or reveal skills and interests. She adores children, their little personalities, and their voices that want to be heard, and respected. She started my career in education at Inkster Public Schools, from there she worked for M&M (2014-2020) and at Westfield Charter Academy 2019 till Present. She's here to help every child she can.

6th-8th Grade ENRICHMENT SPECIALIST

Ms. Jai

Ms. Jai is so excited to be with the 6-8th students this year! She's been with M&M for about 8 years. She went to high school in Ypsilanti, MI. She enjoys traveling, camping and swimming. Her favorite movie is Matilda and my favorite book from my childhood is Junie B. Jones.

Ms. Morgan

Ms. Morgan has been working with M&M for almost a year now. She finds it exciting to work with M&M because the students are so comfortable chatting with her. In her spare time, she's interested in trying new foods and socializing with her family and friends. One of her favorite movies lately has been the Polar Express. As a child, her favorite books were any written by Dr. Seuss.

Ms. Nialah

Ms. Nialah is excited to be working for M&M this year. She loves Drawing & watching tv in her spare time. Her guilty pleasure is listening to music and baking. Her favorite book is the babysitters club & dog diaries.

Before Care ENRICHMENT SPECIALIST

Mr. Dan

Mr. Dan is currently in school, working toward a degree in special education. At M&M he works in morning care. He tries to be flexible and help our kiddos ease into the day. In his spare time, he's into all things Star Wars. He enjoys watching Marvel movies and TV shows.

Tara Ball

Tara has been with M & M since 2009 and also began as an Enrichment Specialist. But with Tara’s extensive experience and expertise in School-Age programming, it was clear her role was to include so much more. Tara is instrumental in providing high quality care at M&M. Tara is a valuable coach and leader to all Specialists, Site Leaders and even the Administrative Team. Tara will often step into a classroom to cover a shift, to help train a new specialist, or even just because she LOVES working with the kids! Tara’s greatest love—planning and working summer camp!

Madonna Mrocca

As the owner of M&M Daycare, Inc., Madonna has been providing care for children since 1995. As a parent of two children who attended NHA Schools, Madonna understands the important role that M&M Plays in providing a quality school-age program. She understands that strong partnerships with families, co-workers and school-day teachers will aid in the growth and development of each child. Her team of professionals are provided with an equally safe and cooperative workplace where honesty, integrity, trust, respect, and ongoing professional education is their primary responsibility. Although Madonna now operates primarily in the administration of the program, she believes in her team and relies on them to provide the best before and afterschool program available!
